The Lenovo Tab K12 is a 12-inch business tablet and its hardware makes it particularly appealing for companies as well as demanding private buyers.
With 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD, and a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 with 8 cores at up to 2.5 GHz, it offers solid performance for productive work and multimedia. Day-to-day use is not always completely smooth, though.
The tablet runs Android 16 and supports 5G, which makes it attractive for mobile use.
Display and build
The tablet stands out with a 12.1-inch IPS display at 2560 x 1600 pixels, 90 Hz, and 600 nits of brightness, along with a lightweight aluminum chassis. The touchscreen allows for precise input, and our measurements show good color gamut coverage. For business users in particular, the precise GPS function is of interest, for example for field staff.
Special features
One key difference compared with consumer tablets is what is included in the box: the Lenovo Tab K12 ships with a charger, which is no longer standard with many consumer tablets.
In addition, the software is designed for centralized management in companies and avoids unnecessary bloatware.
However, the manufacturer warranty is only one year, which is typical for business devices. Private buyers in the EU still receive a 24-month retailer warranty.
Battery, connectivity, and extras
The 10,200 mAh battery promises long battery life, and 5G support enables fast mobile data connections. Four speakers with Dolby Atmos provide good sound, and two cameras, one on the front and one on the back, round out the feature set, though they are better suited to snapshots.
A stylus is not included, which is surprising given the business focus, but the emphasis on RAM and connectivity partly makes up for that.
Conclusion: Is the Lenovo Tab K12 worth it?
The Lenovo Tab K12 is a convincing business tablet that scores with its hardware, the included charger, and 5G support. For private buyers, it is an interesting option if they value plenty of RAM and solid build quality. However, anyone expecting a stylus or a longer manufacturer warranty could be disappointed.
