Google confirms launch and trade-in offers for new Pixel smartphone release

Google has now released what is expected to be the final member of the Pixel 10 series across multiple markets. To recap, the company introduced the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold (curr. $1,749.99 on Amazon) simultaneously last August. Google's latest foldable did not start shipping until early October, though.
Fast forward four months, and Google has decided to expand on these four flagships with a new mid-range alternative. The gap between last year's Pixel 9a and Pixel 10a is rather small. For instance, the 6.3-inch Actua display, 5,100 mAh battery and Tensor G4 chipset of the Pixel 9a return. Likewise, there are no differences between the pair's 13 MP front-facing, 13 MP ultra-wide-angle and 48 MP primary cameras.
Somehow, the Pixel 10a is 3 g lighter than its predecessor at 183 g. Also, Google has moved the Pixel A series up to Corning Gorilla Glass 7i from the Gorilla Glass 3 used on the Pixel 9a. Moreover, brightness values have jumped by 11% to 2,000 nits (100% APL) and 3,000 nits (5% APL). The Pixel 10a has gained Camera Coach, Macro Focus, and Auto Best Take camera features that the Pixel 9a lacks, too.
The Pixel 10a starts at $499, £499 and €549 with 128 GB of storage in a choice of Berry, Fog, Lavender and Obsidian colours. Alternatively, the device can be picked up with 256 GB of storage for $599, £599 and €649. Pre-order offers vary between markets, though. While $100, £100 and €100 trade-in bonuses are available globally, US customers will receive a free pair of Pixel Buds 2a that Google offers at a 50% discount in Europe. Google will start delivering pre-orders on March 5.
