Google confirms new features coming to Pixel smartphones this month

Google has quietly introduced a new Feature Drop for multiple Pixel devices. Overshadowed by MWC 2026 and Apple's new product releases, the March Feature Drop should start rolling out to eligible devices this week.
As usual, Google focuses on what AI enhancements it has brought to devices like the Pixel Tablet, Pixel 9 and the Pixel 10 Pro XL (curr. $1,114 on Amazon). For instance, the first two Feature Drop updates are Circle to Search related. Additionally, Google claims to have refined At a Glance to be more reactive to people's daily lives.
On top of that, Google boasts that Magic Cue and Gemini can now help to find restaurants and a taxi ride. The company's desktop experience is finally rolling out to all Pixel phones from the Pixel 8 series onwards, too. Providing a multi-window desktop experience when paired with a keyboard and mouse, Google's desktop experience is the company's attempt at a Samsung DeX alternative.
Incidentally, desktop windowing has now hit the Pixel Tablet as well. Moreover, Google has expanded in-call Scam Detection to Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico and Spain. Please see the table below for more details about which new features will be hitting which devices later this month.
