Lenovo showcases Legion Tab Gen 5 gaming performance with extended game benchmarks

Lenovo has made the Legion Tab Gen 5 official for the global market at MWC 2026, and it will be available for purchase from April. This same gaming tablet is set to launch in China soon, as the Y700 Gen 5, and ahead of the Chinese debut, the company has shared how well games run on this new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 device.
The company has shared two gaming benchmarks, and one of them is from a 4-hour continuous testing of a "popular 3D turn-based mobile game." Lenovo highlights that the title was tested at the "Very High" graphics preset, and the average stood at 60 FPS after 4 hours.
As for the second game, it's noted to be a "famous battle royale" title, and it also went through the same 4-hour continuous testing. Lenovo claims that the Legion Tab Gen 5 could deliver an average of 164 FPS in this test, with the visual settings turned to "Very High."
Another notable aspect of these two benchmarks is that Lenovo claims that the grip area of the gaming tablet got to around 40° C in the first game, while the temperature remained about 38.5° C in the second one.
It's worth noting that, unlike the recent tablets from RedMagic, the Legion Tab Gen 5 doesn't feature an active cooling fan (Black Shark 4 Pro mobile cooler curr. $32.24 on Amazon). So, it's good to see the device holding a relatively decent temperature during the 4-hour sessions. But then again, all these numbers are coming from the company itself, and they all should be taken with a grain of salt. Check out our MWC 2026 coverage to learn more about the gaming tablet.
