Xiaomi Redmi A7 Pro debuts as an entry-level smartphone with 6,000mAh battery at ~$101

The Xiaomi Redmi A lineup consists of affordable smartphones. Last year, Redmi launched the Redmi A5, featuring a 6.88-inch display and a 5,200mAh battery. Now the company has revealed the new Redmi A7 Pro.
Specifications
The entry-level phone comes with a 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,600 × 720 pixels. Key highlights of the display include DC dimming, 120Hz refresh rate, and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (software-based) and TÜV Rheinland Flicker-Free certifications.
It has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The Redmi A7 Pro is powered by the Unisoc T7250. It is an octa-core processor based on a 12nm process. The chipset also powers the recently launched Realme P4 Lite. The phone has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage.
Notably, the device features a large 6,000mAh battery (20K Anker powerbank curr. $50 on Amazon). It supports 15W charging. In terms of software, the phone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android.
The Redmi A7 Pro comes in various color options, including Black, Mist Blue, Palm Green, and Sunset Orange. It measures 8.15mm in thickness and weighs 208g. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack.
Pricing
The device has been announced in Indonesia with the base variant (4GB RAM and 64GB storage) priced at Rp 1,699,000 (~$101). It is currently available for pre-order at a discounted price of Rp 1,499,000 (~$90) until March 7, with availability set to begin from March 13. Availability in other regions is yet to be announced. However, the phone recently cleared the TDRA certification, hinting at a launch in the UAE as well.
