Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G launches with a MediaTek processor, telephoto camera, and triple IP rating

After launching the 4G variants of the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro, Tecno has announced the Camon 50 Ultra which has 5G. The new smartphone has the same design as its siblings and even shares some of its specs with the Camon 50 Pro 4G.
The display is a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Tecno also says that the display features PorXDR eye-care technology.
Powering the smartphone is MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor and it is paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, while storage is 256GB for either variant. The Camon series is known for its cameras, and the Camon 50 Ultra 5G doesn't disappoint for a mid-range smartphone.
The primary rear camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-700C sensor with OIS and a 1/1.56" sensor size. It is paired with a second 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. There's also an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, while the front-facing camera is another 50MP sensor.
The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra is MIL-STD-810 certified for durability and also has a triple dust and water resistance rating (IP68/IP69/IP69K). There's a fingerprint scanner under its display and it packs a 6500mAh battery that charges at up to 45W.
Like its siblings, it ships with HiOS 16 and will receive 3 Android OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates. Users will also get 50GB of cloud storage for 3 years. Tecno has revealed details about its price and availability, but when it is eventually released, it will be available in orange.
