Xiaomi has now released a new Wear OS smartwatch. Offered globally, the smartwatch features a bright AMOLED display, dual-band location services and up to 6 days of battery life from its 930 mAh battery in smartwatch mode. The Xiaomi Watch 5 is available in two colours, too.

Xiaomi has returned to the smartwatch space with a global version of the Watch 5. To recap, the Watch 5 debuted at the end of last year in China with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Fast forward two months, and the Watch 5 has gained access to Wear OS 6.

As a result, the Watch 5 directly competes with the likes of the Pixel Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch8 (curr. $318 on Amazon). To achieve this, Xiaomi has included a 1.54-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire glass. Also, the Watch 5 features a 930 mAh battery that works with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and a BES2800 co-processor to achieve up to 6 days of battery life.

Moreover, the Watch 5 offers one-tap health check functionality that can provide an overview of blood oxygen, stress, heart rate and sleep duration levels in 60 seconds. On top of that, the smartwatch leverages dual-band GNSS location services for use with its pre-installed workout modes.

The Watch 5 will be available globally in two colour options. While Xiaomi sells the smartwatch in multiple finishes across China, the rest of the world has only received Juniper Green and Black variants. Both finishes retail for €299 (~$353) and will come with an Air Fryer 6.5L, Buds 5 or Massage Gun Mini 2 when ordered before the end of March 9.
