Garmin smartwatch gets improved cellular connectivity experience with new update

Last week, Garmin introduced Beta Version 21.28 for the Fenix 8 Pro (curr. $1,190 on Amazon). For context, the update arrived around four days after Garmin started distributing System Software 21.25 with almost two-dozen improvements. Since then, Garmin has announced its next Feature Update.
Incidentally, Garmin has now permanently cut the price of the Fenix 8 Pro with a microLED display, too. However, the new System Software 21.28 does not contain any of the changes detailed on Tuesday. Instead, the new update seeks to fix a bug that resulted in the LTE searching/standby banner appearing at frequent intervals.
Currently, LTE connectivity remains exclusive to the Fenix 8 Pro. By extension, this should mean that the Quatix 8 Pro will receive System Software 21.28, too. Conversely, Garmin will be keeping the Enduro 3, Fenix E and non-Pro versions of the Fenix 8 family on System Software 21.25. At this stage, it is unclear when Garmin will begin its next round of beta development for the Fenix 8 Pro and its peers. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
