High-end Garmin smartwatch gets new update with sleep mode improvements added

Hardly any time has passed since Garmin released System Software 21.25 for the Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Fenix 8 Po (curr. $1,190 on Amazon). At the same time, the company has just issued System Software 21.27 to the Tactix 8. As we discussed at the time, Garmin had hoped that these updates would represent the end of its v21.xx beta period.
Nonetheless, it has returned to its Beta Program with another v21.xx update. However, the rollout is not straightforward. Instead, Garmin has restricted the distribution of Beta Version 21.28 to just the Fenix 8 Pro. Also available on micro LED variants, the new update is said to have already been offered to 100% of Beta Program participants.
Hence, we would expect Garmin to transition v21.28 to its stable software program shortly. In the meantime, the company has confirmed that the new update resolves a single issue relating to the LTE searching and standby banner appearing too frequently.
At the same time, Garmin Rumors has observed that Garmin has quietly restored the manual sleep focus option across the Fenix 8 series and its peers. As a result, one should now be able to set Sleep Focus as a shortcut that can be manually activated. As far as we can tell, this feature should be live across System Software 21.25 and 21.27, as well as the new Beta Version 21.28.
