Garmin has issued a new software update for many of its older high-end smartwatches. Rolling out globally, the new update focuses on resolving outstanding bugs again rather than adding any new features.

Almost a month has passed since Garmin released Beta Version 26.03 to smartwatches like the Enduro 2, Fenix 7 and the Quatix 7 (curr. $339.99 on Amazon). A few days later, the company announced a new Feature Update package that omitted those smartwatches altogether, as well as the Epix 2, Epix 2 Pro and the Marq Gen 2.

Now, it has returned with Beta Version 26.04, which is arriving as an over-the-air (OTA) update via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Currently, the new update is said to have reached 20% of Beta Program participants. Thus, it could take a few more days before Beta Version 26.04 reaches all eligible smartwatches.

It is worth noting that the new update is not available for Pro-branded smartwatches, too. Garmin has clarified that Beta Version 26.04 introduces three new bug fixes compared to Beta Version 26.03. Specifically, the new beta resolves an issue that could cause a system shutdown when skipping music.

Also, Beta Version 26.04 fixes a separate bug that resulted in Training Effect estimates failing to show correctly in German. Finally, the new update addresses another translation issue that caused the Solar Intensity Widget to display improperly. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
