Amazfit smartwatches get new app and activities in new update

Zepp Health is rolling out an update for the Amazfit Active Max smartwatch. This wearable launched in December 2025 with features like a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, BioCharge energy level monitoring and 4GB storage for music and offline maps.
As reported by a user on Reddit, the Amazfit Active Max is currently receiving software version 3.4.0.3. This update is 15.01MB in size and brings a few new features. The first is a dedicated Podcast app, which also recently reached the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch. There are also two new activity modes: Hybrid Training and Rucking (weighted backpack walking).
On top of this, the release notes suggest that the Active Max’s GPS performance has been improved in some cases, and the user experience for Activities has been enhanced. There is a battery-related improvement, with the “PHN experience” said to have been optimized when the battery is low. The final change improves the smartwatch’s scrolling sensitivity.
Software version 3.4.0.3 appears to be rolling out in phases to users of the Amazfit Active Max smartwatch (curr. $169.99 at Amazon). When it is available in your region, you will be able to download and install the update via the Zepp app on your smartphone.
