Casio launches new Edifice chronograph in the US, featuring ion-plated tachymeter bezel

Casio has made a new Edifice chronograph available in the US - the EFR574DE-7AV. The previously released watch is now listed on the company’s official store for $220. The model is the newest one in the brand’s standard Edifice chronograph lineup and has a sporty design, with a tachymeter bezel and multi-subdial layout.
The watch is equipped with a 47.5 × 42.3 × 11.4 mm stainless-steel case paired with a solid stainless-steel bracelet secured using a one-touch three-fold clasp. Overall weight is listed at 148 g, which makes it one of the heavier quartz chronographs in its range.
The most striking visual element is the blue ion-plated tachymeter bezel, which contrasts nicely with the white dial and blue-accented indices. The dial uses a classic three-subdial chronograph arrangement, with a day and date display included. The case is protected by mineral glass instead of sapphire crystal, and the timepiece has the screw-lock caseback.
Inside, the model runs on a standard quartz movement rated at ±20 seconds per month, with an estimated battery life of around five years. The tachymeter bezel gives a motorsport-themed touch to the aesthetic, which is the trademark theme for the Edifice series. Combine that with the steel bracelet and dial layout, and the watch can be categorized into a traditional sport chronograph style rather than the more tech-heavy Edifice models like the EQW-T660DB-1BJF (curr. $344 on Amazon), that come with Bluetooth or solar features.
According to the product listing, the EFR574DE-7AV is now available through Casio’s US store, with limited stock remaining at the time of writing.
