Casio launches new slim analog-digital hybrid watch in the US

Having recently listed the new GGB100X Mudmaster watches for sale on the US website, Casio is also updating its Vintage lineup in the region with the release of the Casio AQ230A-2A1M. The new analog-digital watch is now listed on the official US Casio website with a retail price of $59.95. This series is known for its slim rectangular case and hybrid time display. The watch measures 38.8 × 29.8 × 8.1 mm and weighs 47 g, which makes it one of the lighter stainless-steel options in the company’s retro catalog.
The case uses resin with a chrome-plated finish, alongisde with a stainless-steel bracelet featuring an adjustable clasp. A resin crystal takes care of dial protection, while water resistance is rated simply as water-resistant, which typically means the watch is suitable for daily wear but not swimming.
The AQ230A-2A1M comes with the standard hybrid display format of the AQ-230 series. The main analog dial shows hours and minutes, while a small digital display window below provides additional functions. These include dual time, a 1/100-second stopwatch, daily alarm, and hourly time signal. The watch also offers a 12/24-hour format, along with a basic auto-calendar that adjusts for February’s 28 days.
Accuracy is rated at ±30 seconds per month, which is typical for quartz watches in this price range. Power comes from an SR920W battery, with Casio estimating around three years of battery life under normal use.
