New Casio G-Shock GW-BX5600 MIP LCD watch could be on the way

A new Casio G-Shock GW-BX5600 watch is said to be launching in the near future. This hotly anticipated model launched in Japan in late 2025 and subsequently became available at the brand’s online store in the UK. However, it has yet to be officially released in other markets like the US and the EU.
Initially, customers could choose between two versions of the Casio G-Shock GW-BX5600. The GW-BX5600-1 is a black resin model with a positive MIP LCD (light background, dark figures), while the GW-BX5600-1A1 has the same black case and strap but with a negative display (dark background, light figures). Now, reputable Casio blog Great G-Shock World indicates that a third colorway will be released in April 2026. The site does not state the source of this information, and further details about this third model have yet to be confirmed.
Casio’s G-Shock GW-BX5600 is a digital watch with a square-shaped memory‑in‑pixel LCD. This is described as a “high-visibility” screen, with various font and display modes. It is a radio-controlled (Multiband 6) model with Bluetooth connectivity, providing features like auto time adjustments. It supports dual world time zones, and comes with a stopwatch, a timer and multiple alarms. On top of this, it is water resistant to 200 m, and it is equipped with Tough Solar charging technology for an extended battery life.
It is also worth noting that UK-based retailer First Class Watches, which ships internationally, currently points to a July/August 2026 restock of the original Casio G-Shock GW-BX5600-1 and GW-BX5600-1A1 watches.
