Casio releases new affordable digital watch with green dial in US

Casio has released the W218HD-3AV in the US. The new watch arrives several months after the company released the W218H-3BV and W218H-8BV watches, both featuring dark displays.

The Casio W218HD-3AV is one of three new Green Face series watches, which were unveiled earlier in 2026. The classic digital watch is currently available at the brand’s online store for $45.95. Whether or when it could reach Casio’s Amazon storefront is unclear.

Casio’s W218HD-3AV is a square face watch with a dark green frame surrounding the black background display. It has a metal-look resin bezel and casing, with a stainless steel band fastening with a triple-fold clasp. It measures 44.4 x 43.2 x 10.8 mm (~1.75 x 1.70 x 0.43 inches) and weighs 85 g (~3.0 oz).

Features of the W218HD include a daily alarm, hourly time signals and a 1/100th second stopwatch. Users can choose between 12 and 24 hour time formats, and the date and day of the week are also shown on the digital display. This can be illuminated with an amber LED backlight, ensuring you can read the time in any environment. Plus, it is estimated to run for around seven years on the CR2016 battery, and is water resistant to 50 m.
