Garmin’s vivosmart 5 is receiving software version 3.32
Garmin software version 3.32 is rolling out to users of one of the brand’s wearables. The update tackles a problem linked to the vivosmart 5’s heart rate functionality.

Garmin has released a new stable update for the vivosmart 5 fitness activity tracker. This older model was released in 2022, with features like step counting, heart rate tracking and sleep health monitoring. It was last updated towards the end of 2025, with software version 3.31 updating some of the wearable’s hardware-related modules.

Now, software version 3.32 is rolling out to users of the Garmin vivosmart 5. The release is said to tackle an issue linked to the fitness tracker’s heart rate broadcast feature, a function which allows you to view collected heart rate data on a connected device like an Edge GPS bike computer. According to the company, a bug which had previously interrupted the data sharing process has been resolved.

In a recent post in the Garmin forum, a representative for the company confirmed that software version 3.32 has reached around 20% of users of the vivosmart 5 fitness activity tracker (curr. $149.99 at Amazon). It is unclear when the rollout will be complete, though it likely to finish in the next week or so. The update should be pushed to the wearable automatically when connected to Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express.
