New smartwatch launches at a low price, with offline maps and 1,000 cd/m²

Rollme is probably no stranger to attentive readers, and the company is now launching a new smartwatch, the G9. It is priced at 70 dollars, although potential buyers should pay close attention to the shipping conditions. The watch is therefore relatively inexpensive. A possible alternative in the same price range would be the Amazfit Active 2, although the model we tested may be the safer choice for buyers who want to play it safe.
The Rollme G9 is said to come with a wide range of features. Unsurprisingly, it includes a GNSS module with dual-band GPS support as well as Galileo and Glonass. The watch also supports offline map display. For this purpose, it comes with 2 gigabytes of internal memory. This allows users to keep track of their surroundings without needing a smartphone, which can be particularly useful when traveling.
More than 100 sports modes are available for recording athletic activity, which can be helpful both for statistics and for estimating calorie consumption more accurately. A 1.32-inch AMOLED display is installed, with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 1,000 cd/m². Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, and battery life is said to reach up to 15 days. When all GNSS systems are active, runtime drops to up to 20 hours, which should still be sufficient even for a demanding ultramarathon.
