OnePlus launches refreshed Watch 3 with slightly more affordable price tag

OnePlus has launched new accessories, and the 43 mm Watch 3 is among them. It stands as a smaller and slightly more affordable variant than the standard 46 mm model. As for the specs, they are identical to the Oppo Watch X2 mini, but while OnePlus' new wearable might be a rebrand, it will be widely available across the world.

Compared to the 46 mm model, the new Watch 3 comes with a slimmer dial, and the body is lighter, weighing 37.8 grams (around 0.833 lbs). Given the compact size, the display on the new OnePlus smartwatch is smaller as well. To be precise, it features a 1.32-inch display, and in comparison, the other version has a 1.5-inch screen.

Both wearables are powered by the same SoC, though. More specifically, the 43 mm OnePlus Watch 3 packs the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, which is tagged with the BES2800 MCU chipset. This Qualcomm smartwatch SoC is paired with 32 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM.

The battery life, however, has seen a downgrade. OnePlus notes that the 43 mm Watch 3 can last up to 7 days with the power saver mode turned on. The 46 mm version, on the other hand, is rated for up to 16 days of runtime.

When it comes to fitness tracking, the 43 mm Watch 3 comes with over 100 sports modes, and the smartwatch can automatically recognize six different types of activities. Health tracking is also on par with other flagship smartwatches, but OnePlus notes that the 60-second health check-in isn't available on this variant due to the lack of a temperature sensor.

As for the price, the OnePlus Watch 3 43 mm is available on the official site for $299.99. The 46 mm version, in comparison, goes for $349.99. Unlike the Buds 4, no promotional discount code is available for the new smartwatch, but the company has a trade-in program in place.
