OnePlus has introduced the 43 mm Watch 3, which is a smaller smartwatch than the regular 46 mm version. Alongside this wearable, the company has launched new affordable wireless earbuds, the Buds 4. These have a regular price tag of $129.99, but for a limited time, they can be scored for $99.99 with the BUDS4 promo code.
One of the major highlights of the Buds 4 is the dual driver setup. OnePlus claims that the affordable earbuds feature one 11 mm woofer that's paired with a 6 mm tweeter. Each of these drivers has a dedicated DAC, which allows the pair to offer "flagship-level" sound quality.
The company further highlights that the OnePlus Buds 4 can deliver "class-leading" audio performance thanks to having support for LHDC 5.0. For those wondering, it's a high-definition audio codec by Savitech. It has support for lossless transmission and a 24-bit/192 kHz sample rate.
Other than that, the OnePlus Buds 4 support 3D Audio, and the company notes that the wireless earbuds can deliver a low latency of 47 ms when the dedicated Game Mode is turned on. They also offer the ability to personalize the sound output through what the company calls "Golden Sound." It analyzes the user's ear canal to create a customized audio profile.
Among the other highlights is the noise cancellation mode, which, according to OnePlus, analyzes the user's environment up to 800 times in one second to ensure optimal performance. The noise reduction depth is said to be up to 55 dB, and there's a three-microphone AI-powered setup for handling calls.
Regarding battery life, the OnePlus Buds 4 have a rated runtime of up to 11 hours with the ANC turned off and the volume set at 50%. With the noise cancellation mode turned on, the wireless earbuds can offer up to 9 hours of playback. The total runtime with the charging case is 45 hours with the ANC and 24 hours without the ANC turned on.
