We previously covered the OnePlus Buds 3V, which until now had only been available in China. Although it still hasn’t received an official global launch, consumers in Europe and the US can now purchase it via direct import for around US$30, plus shipping and taxes. However, warranty claims may prove challenging should any issues arise with the earbuds.
The in-ear headphones support spatial audio technology and feature large 12.4 mm drivers designed to offer enhanced bass reproduction. That said, independent testing is still required to determine how good and immersive they truly sound.
According to official specifications, the OnePlus Buds 3V provides up to 12 hours of use, with the charging case capable of extending the total battery life to around 54 hours. Although it lacks active noise cancellation for the listener, it does include a feature that reduces unwanted ambient noise during phone calls for the person on the other end. For wireless connectivity, the earphones support Bluetooth 5.4 but not the high-res LDAC codec. In practice, though, audio quality is likely limited more by the drivers than by codec support. The OnePlus Buds 3V is rated IP55 for water and dust resistance.
