Snowsky is a relatively new audio sub-brand connected to FiiO, with a quickly-growing catalog of compact, affordable digital audio players with a retro feel and simple controls. The company's earlier Echo Mini gained attention for bringing high-res playback in a small form factor, and it's clear that Snowsky seems to be building a product line around pocket-friendly, offline listening rather than touchscreen-driven streaming devices.
A fresh leak from Weibo has revealed what looks like the next portable music player from Snowsky, likely called Echo Nano. The device appears to be a smaller sibling to the Echo Mini (curr. $49.99 on Amazon), and going by early reactions, users seem to be pretty excited regarding its pocketable form factor with physical controls and a simple screen.
The leaked images show a slim, rectangular body in a teal-blue finish, with the Snowsky logo engraved on the side. The top houses a 3.5mm headphone jack alongside a rotating control wheel, which resembles classic MP3 players and small dictation devices from the late 2000s. The screen looks to be pretty minimal and monochrome, while dedicated buttons sit along the side for playback control.
From the Weibo comment screenshots, users are asking whether it includes a microphone and TF card (microSD) support. FiiO’s James responded "可以啊" (which translates to yes) to the TF card question, which means expandable storage is a high possibility. In the attached image, the device looks noticeably thinner and shorter than the Echo Mini - almost closer to the size of a USB dongle DAC than a full standalone DAP. The design feels like a return to early 2000s MP3 players.
There’s no confirmed price or launch timeline yet, though comments on Weibo do ask about preorder details. We'll get to know for sure once Snowsky makes an official announcement regarding the same.
