The OnePlus Pad Lite is one of the handful of products announced today at the OnePlus' summer launch event. The new tablet is a spiritual successor to the OnePlus Pad Go released in late 2023. The OnePlus Pad Lite also arrives as a more affordable alternative to the OnePlus Pad 3 (available on Amazon.de for €599) announced in June.
Sporting an 11-inch 1920 x 1200 screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, the OnePlus Pad Lite is a tad smaller than the OnePlus Pad Go which has an 11.35-inch display. However, while the OnePlus Pad Lite retains the 90Hz refresh rate, it is slightly brighter at 500 nits.
Powering the OnePlus Pad Lite is a MediaTek Helio G100 processor paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. What is surprising is that OnePlus says the tablet doesn't support storage expansion, so there isn't a microSD card slot for adding more storage.
There's a 5MP camera on both sides of the tablet and the front-facing camera supports face recognition. There's no fingerprint scanner which isn't unusual considering this is a budget tablet. The OnePlus Pad Lite has Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 5, and quad speakers with Hi-Res audio and support for SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC.
The OnePlus Pad Lite packs a 9,340mAh battery capacity with support for 33W fast charging (doesn't ship with a charger). OnePlus says users should get up to 11 hours of video playtime and 54 days of standby time. It also has an IP42 dust and water resistance rating.
OnePlus ships the tablet with OxygenOS 15 which it says will remain smooth for 3 years. OxygenOS 15 brings features such as a Kids Mode, Open Canvas multitasking (limited to just two apps), screen mirroring, and the ability to copy and paste from the tablet to a OnePlus phone running OxygenOS 13.1 and above.
It can also sync clipboards and media between devices with the same OnePlus account. OnePlus has also added support for easily sharing files between the tablet and an iPhone, although the latter requires users to install the O+ Connect app.
The OnePlus Pad Lite is available in a single color called Aero Blue and is priced at £169/€199 for the base model which has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For £199/€229, buyers can get the 8GB RAM version which also has 128GB of storage, but adds LTE support.
There's no info yet on when it will be available to buy but the product page says buyers will be able to choose between a SUPERVOOC 80W charger or a folio case as a free gift.
