After releasing the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra in China last month, Xiaomi has now promptly followed it up with a new premium tablet—the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro. The Pad 7S Pro sits below the Pad 7 Ultra in Xiaomi's lineup, but above models like the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. Much like the Pad 7 Ultra, it's powered by the company's XRing O1 chipset—making it the third device to feature the SoC—albeit in a slightly less powerful guise than previous implementations.
Xiaomi's new tablet sports a 12.5-inch 3.2K 144 Hz LCD, with the company opting to keep its OLED exclusive to the more premium Pad 7 Ultra. In addition to the already powerful XRing O1, the Pad 7S Pro can be equipped with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi is marketing the tablet as a productivity-focused device, with features including "Remote Control PC", cross-platform file transfer, and a "PC-level floating keyboard" with long key travel and a "full-range, pressure-sensitive touchpad".
Other features of the 5.8mm thick Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro include a 50 MP rear camera, 32 MP selfie snapper, 10,610 mAh battery, 120 W charging, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, six speakers, Dolby Atmos support, four microphones, Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.2 Gen 1, an IR blaster, and HyperOS 2. The tablet will be available in four colorways—Black, Titanium, Purple, and Cambrian Gray.
