Xiaomi launched the Redmi K Pad last month as its first compact flagship tablet. While the Redmi K Pad remains exclusive to the Chinese market, multiple reports have surfaced indicating a potential global release and a new leak now seems to corroborate that theory.
According to Chinese leaker Experience More, Xiaomi is readying the Redmi K Pad to launch globally. The tablet will supposedly ditch the Redmi branding it bears in China, in favor of a Xiaomi one. To be exact, it's tipped to arrive on the global market as the "Xiaomi Pad Mini", and will be aimed right at Apple's iPad Mini 7.
Previous reports claimed the Redmi K Pad could launch globally as the Poco F Pad but those rumors appear to have been inaccurate. Instead, it seems the compact flagship tablet will sit above the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro as the company's most premium globally available tablet, thanks to its powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. An exact release date is currently unknown but it wouldn't be surprising to see the tablet debut alongside the Xiaomi 15T series sometime in September.
