Xiaomi launched the Redmi K Pad days ago as the sub-brand's first truly premium tablet. The K Pad sits at the same table as other compact tablets like the Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen) and RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, and can now be purchased globally, albeit only via import.
The compact flagship tablet is currently available for purchase at Giztop with a $469 listed price tag for the 8/256 GB model. Seeing as the official price for that SKU converts into around $390, there's a notable markup—although some would consider it worth it for not having to go through the rigors of ordering through official Chinese sources. The K Pad is also cheaper than the Legion Y700 and RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, with those starting at $499 and $699 respectively.
Like those two tablets, the Redmi K Pad is expected to launch globally sometime in the future. Current rumors indicate it could arrive as a Poco model on the global market, or even keep its Redmi branding. Either way, those who need proper global software may be better served waiting for that.
