Sometimes you get the feeling that customer wishes aren't so important to companies or are difficult to get across. It's a different story in the business customer segment, where buyers purchase not just one laptop, tablet, or smartphone, but hundreds or thousands at once. Which is why buyer feedback often carries greater weight there and is usually implemented in succeeding generations.
This is also evident in Samsung's Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro: The 10.1-inch tablet costs around $660 and has been improved in many areas. The removable back panel, which provides access to the SIM and microSD slots, as well as the battery, is already familiar. The latter can be easily removed and replaced. Only this time, there is not just one battery but two. Unfortunately, there is no hot-swap option, even if one battery remains in the device. Nevertheless, the batteries are identical to those of the Galaxy Tab Active5, so you can use the same batteries for both.
Another popular request is a long update period, and Samsung scores points here as well: The Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro will receive new software until 2033, eight years from its release.
Since the Samsung tablet is also IP68 certified and the screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, durability is unlikely to be an issue, even if the device falls into water. It can be used with gloves, and the package includes a thickly padded case for even greater durability. This case also contains a stylus.
Thanks to its dual batteries, the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro also sets new runtime records. Readers can find out more about this in our detailed review, where we also talk about the screen, which is also tailored to customer requirements.
