According to a new report, Xiaomi plans to bring the upcoming Redmi K Pad to the global market eventually. The Dimensity 9400+ tablet is reported to be scheduled to launch globally, and in other markets, as a Poco device.

Xiaomi's Redmi sub-brand will launch its first flagship tablet, the Redmi K Pad, in China later this month. It appears, however, that the Redmi K Pad will not remain exclusive to the Chinese market and could be set to launch globally sometime in the future.

As revealed by XiaomiTime, the Redmi K Pad is planned to be released in other markets. Supposedly, the compact flagship tablet, internally designated as "turner" will launch in a slew of other markets, including Indonesia, Taiwan, Europe, and globally. Unfortunately, both India and Japan look likely to be ignored.

The source report claims the Redmi K Pad will be sold outside China as the Poco F Pad, or perhaps with another model name in Poco's lineup. That wouldn't be surprising as Poco devices are typically rebadged Chinese Redmi models, as seen with the Poco F7 and Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, Poco X7 Pro and Redmi Turbo 4, and a host of other such arrangements.

In any case, the Redmi K Pad is yet to debut officially, and it's unlikely a Poco version arrives till much later in the year. If and when it does, however, it'll go up against other compact premium tablets, such as the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 4 and RedMagic Astra
