Following the launch of the Honor Pad 10 last month, Honor seems to be preparing to launch another tablet - this time a flagship. The new tablet is expected to arrive as the MagicPad 3 which will succeed the Honor MagicPad 2 announced in July 2024.
Key details of the tablet alongside an image showing what it will look like have been revealed by the prominent leaker, Digital Chat Station. The image shows the tablet will have a flat back, a squircle camera island that houses dual cameras and an LED flash. It will also have three POGO pins at the bottom for connecting to a keyboard accessory.
According to the source, the Honor MagicPad 3 will have a 13.3-inch Eye Comfort screen. While the screen is larger than the 12.3-inch display of the MagicPad 2, many may not be pleased that the OLED panel of the previous generation has been replaced with LCD.
In addition to the bigger display, the MagicPad 3 will also have a larger battery capacity to match. The battery capacity has increased from the MagicPad 2's 10,050mAh to 12,450mAh. This is said to be an industry record for Honor's Silicon-Carbon batteries which are known to have a higher energy density but smaller size compared to their lithium-ion equivalents.
There's no info yet on how fast the tablet will charge but last year's MagicPad 2 (available on Amazon.de for €439.90) supports 66W fast wired charging. The MagicPad 3 has also been revealed to be quite slim at 5.79 mm while its weight is reported as 595 grams. The upcoming tablet is reported to be packed with AI features which users should find useful.
The Honor MagicPad 3 is expected to launch alongside the Magic V5 foldable on July 2 but there's no official confirmation yet. Other devices Honor is reported to announce on that day include the Honor MagicBook Art 14, Honor Watch 5 Ultra, and Honor Ear Open.
