While Xiaomi is yet to confirm a launch date for its two upcoming premium devices, the Redmi K80 Ultra and Redmi K Pad, both are expected to debut in the coming weeks and a new leak has now revealed key details of the Redmi K Pad.
According to Experience More on Weibo, the Redmi K Pad appears to have been benchmarked against Apple's iPad Mini 7, with the Redmi tablet seemingly having the advantage on paper. The Redmi K Pad is widely reported to feature an 8.8-inch LCD and the leaker claims it will be a 144 Hz panel, an upgrade on the iPad Mini 7's 60 Hz display.
The Redmi K Pad will be powered by the Dimensity 9400+ and has already made its Geekbench debut with that chipset and a massive 16 GB of RAM. A specific battery capacity isn't provided but the compact tablet is supposedly penned down for a 7,000+ mAh unit, and will support 67 W wired, bypass charging, both superior to the iPad Mini 7's 5,210 mAh battery and 20 W charging.
Pricing is supposed to be another advantage for the Redmi K Pad over the iPad Mini 7. While the iPad Mini 7 is priced at CNY 3,999 ($557) in China, the Redmi K Pad is tipped to start at CNY 3,199 ($445).
