According to recent rumours, Fairphone will soon be introducing a sixth-generation version of its repairable smartphone project. In the meantime, two European retailers have jumped the gun by listing the Fairphone 6 ahead of time. Surprisingly, the device is not as compact or lightweight as previous leaks suggested.
According to Fnac Switzerland, the Fairphone 6 weighs in at 199 g, which makes it as heavy as something like an iPhone 16 Pro. However, dimensions of 156.5 x 73.3 x 9.6 mm will make the Fairphone 6 noticeably larger than Apple's current smaller flagship. As a result, the Fairphone 6 will sit roughly between the Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 Plus (curr. $649.99 - refurbished on Amazon) in terms of size. Elsewhere, Fnac Switzerland and SCC suggest that the Fairphone 6 will be available in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants.
All SKUs should feature the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and 4,415 mAh battery though, as well as up to 2 TB of microSD card expansion and a 50 MP primary camera. Fnac Switzerland reports that Fairphone has equipped its latest smartphone with a 6.31-inch LTPO P-OLED display too. Aligning with prior leaks, the retailer claims that this mid-sized display outputs at 2,484 x 1,116 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 1-120 Hz variable refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Currently, Fairphone is rumoured to be announcing the Fairphone 6 on June 25 for a €549 (~$637) starting price.
