After launching in China last month, the OnePlus Buds 4 are getting ready for a wider release. OnePlus has announced the launch date for the new pair of earbuds and also provided a few key details.
The global version of the OnePlus Buds 4 will have the same design as the variant sold in China. As a matter of fact, they will even be available in the same colors — green and black. The OnePlus Buds 4 will have a closed ear design with silicone tips to provide passive noise cancellation. The earbuds will also have a protruding stem.
According to OnePlus, each of the earbuds has an 11mm woofer, a 6mm tweeter, and dual DACs. The OnePlus Buds 4 will have Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, LHDC 5.0, and 3D spatial audio. The rest of the specs are under wraps, but since the earbuds will be no different from the version sold in China, we expect them to have 55dB noise cancellation, three microphones per earbud, a low-latency gaming mode, and an IP55 dust and water resistance rating.
The OnePlus Buds 4 should also have a battery life of 11 hours on a single change and a total of 45 hours with the charging case. With ANC turned on, that should drop to 6 hours (5.5 hours with LHDC codec) and 24 hours (22 hours with LHDC codec) respectively. The battery life has gotten a slight dip when compared to the OnePlus Buds 3 (available on Amazon for $92) which lasts up to 6.5 hours with ANC on and a total of 28 hours with the charging case
The OnePlus Buds 4 will be unveiled on July 8 alongside a handful of other products in India, Europe, North America, and the UK. There's no info on how much it will cost but in China the earbuds have a price tag of CNY 449 which is about $63/€54/£46.
