The successor to the OnePlus Nord 4 is about to hit the market fairly soon, as OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 will be unveiled on July 8, 2025. The company has already revealed that both smartphones will also launch in Europe and confirmed that the more expensive OnePlus Nord 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
This should make the Nord 5 one of the fastest mid-range smartphones on the market. Anyhow, the reliable leaker @OnLeaks has published high-resolution render images and details about the OnePlus Nord 5's features on Android Headlines. Accordingly, the Android phone has a more discreet design compared to its predecessor. The back has only one color, and the two cameras are placed in a pill-shaped camera bump.
OnePlus is expected to pair the fast Qualcomm chipset with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 2800 x 1272 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with 8GB to 12GB of RAM and 256GB to 512GB of mass storage. The battery reportedly has a capacity of 5,200mAh, and it charges via USB-C at up to 80 watts. Both the main and selfie camera are said to sport a 50MP sensor, while the ultrawide camera only offers 8MP. The chassis is reportedly IP65 certified, meaning it's protected against rain but not fully waterproof.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 is a more affordable alternative to the Nord 5 and is expected to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350, 8GB of RAM, 128GB to 256GB of storage and a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz and 1080p+ resolution. The "Core Edition", just like the regular OnePlus Nord 5, has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera, but the front camera only has 16MP. Last but not least, the battery supposedly has a capacity of 5,200mAh and supports 80W fast charging, while an IP54-certified chassis rounds off the spec sheet of the Nord CE 5.
