A new contender has entered the US smartphone market, this time affiliated with President Trump. Its inaugural product, the T1SM Phone (hereby referred to as T1 Phone for brevity) has some intriguing specs and a surprisingly high price tag.
Unfortunately, the official T1 Phone website doesn't reveal much in the way of specifics. It comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel, three rear camera modules (50 MP primary, 2 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP depth), a 16 MP selfie camera, a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 20 Watt fast charging, 12 GB RAM, 256 GB of expandable storage and, interestingly, a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The page omits which SoC powers the T1 Phone, but looking at its specs, it's probably not a cutting-edge model. Even 5G connectivity isn't explicitly mentioned, so there's a high chance it is some entry-level SKU from the yesteryears. Other specs include an under-display fingerprint sensor and Android 15.
The T1 Phone costs $499 and is up for pre-order now with a $100 down payment. Trump Mobile has also shown off a new plan to go with its first smartphone. It costs $47.45 per month and comes with numerous benefits, such as, free international calls to over 100 countries, roadside assistance and unlimited calls/texts.
