Razer has announced three new mobile controllers under its Kishi series. The new controllers include the Kishi V3, the Kishi V3 Pro, and the Kishi V3 Pro XL, all of which are compatible with Android, iOS, and PC.
The three Kishi V3 controllers have a telescopic design and connect via USB-C to a compatible device. They also feature full-sized TMR thumbsticks; but while the Kishi V3 Pro and Kishi V3 Pro have swappable caps, that isn't the case with the standard Kishi V3. The Kishi V3 also lacks claw grip bumpers unlike the pro models, but has customizable back buttons like its siblings.
Another difference between the pro models and the standard Kishi V3 is that the former have support for Razer's Sensa-HD haptics which Razer claims provides haptics that are stronger, more detailed, and more nuanced than traditional console controller vibrations. It is important to note that the Sensa-HD haptics feature works only on Windows 11 and Android devices running Android 12 and later.
Like many telescopic controllers designed for mobile devices, the Razer Kishi V3 controllers also have USB-C passthrough charging and a 3.5mm audio jack. They can also be used as a wired controller with a PC and have support for remote play and cloud gaming.
The Razer Kishi V3 is compatible with smartphones with a Type-C port while the Kishi V3 Pro is designed for the iPad Mini and Android tablets with a screen size of up to 8 inches. The Kishi V3 Pro XL takes it up more than a notch by boasting compatibility with Android tablets and iPads with a screen size of between 10 and 13 inches.
The Razer Kishi V3 is priced at $99 and comes with 3 free months of Apple Arcade. The Kishi V3 Pro costs significantly more at $149.99 but is still cheaper than the BackBone One Pro. It also comes with 3 free months of Apple Arcade while the Kishi V3 Pro XL has a price tag of $199.99 and comes with 6 free months of Apple Arcade. All three controllers are available to buy now from Razer's website and from Amazon.
