Nearly a month after it was announced, the 8bitDo Arcade Controller is now available to pre-order in Europe and the UK through Amazon. Available in two variants - one for Switch and Windows and another for Xbox and Windows - the controller will also be released a month later than in the US.

Last month, 8BitDo announced the Arcade Controller for Switch and Windows and the Arcade Controller for Xbox. While pre-orders for the two leverless controllers opened in North America immediately, it was not the same in Europe. 8BitDo has now announced that the controllers can now be pre-ordered in the UK and Europe.

The 8BitDo Arcade Controller for Switch and Windows is now available to pre-order on Amazon UK for £75.99 and on Amazon.de for €89.99 while the Arcade Controller for Xbox is available to pre-order for £67.43 or €99.99 in Europe. However, unlike in the US where the controllers will be released on July 15, 2025, those in the UK and Europe will have to wait until August 15 before they can get their hands on them.

Both versions of the Arcade Controller have an all-button arcade layout with 16 Kailh Wizard low-profile mechanical switches and a hot-swappable PCB. They also have replaceable lock caps, an audio jack, and an integrated volume control. However, while the version for Switch and Windows has four programmable buttons, the version for Xbox has just two.

Another difference is that the Xbox edition has RGB lighting around the buttons and packs a 3,000mAh battery for up to 40 hours of use (20 hours with RGB on). The Switch and Windows version lacks RGB lights and has a much smaller 1,000mAh battery that will provide 20 hours of usage.

The Switch and Windows edition connects via Bluetooth to the Nintendo Switch and 2.4GHz to Windows or via USB-C to both devices. The Xbox edition connects via wireless or a USB-C cable to the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 devices.
