Little over a week has passed since the Poco F7 Ultra appeared in a National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) certification listing bearing the model number 24122RKC7G. Following that, launch pricing for the same device emerged that put the Poco F7 Ultra way above last year's Poco F6 Pro (curr. $444.99 on Amazon).
Now, 91mobiles and Sudhanshu Ambhore have teamed up to deliver detailed specifications and product images of Xiaomi's first 'Ultra' branded Poco smartphone. In summary, the pair allege that the Poco F7 Ultra will arrive sporting the following hardware within a 212 g and 160.26 x 74.95 x 8.39 mm housing:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
- 6.67-inch AMOLED display, 3,200 x 1,440 pixels, 526 PPI pixel density, 120 Hz refresh rate
- 5,300 mAh battery, 50 W wireless/120 W wired charging
- 50 MP primary (OIS), 50 MP telephoto (OIS), 32 MP ultra-wide-angle, 32 MP front-facing cameras
Initially, the Poco F7 Ultra was expected to be a re-branded Redmi K80 Pro, which was reinforced by the former sharing the same '24122RKC7' root model number as the latter. Based on the specifications listed above, the Poco F7 Ultra may differ from the Redmi K80 Pro in a few key areas, though.
For example, 91mobiles and Ambhore allege that Xiaomi has swapped the 6,000 mAh battery from the Redmi K80 Pro for a smaller 5,300 mAh alternative. Conversely, it seems that Xiaomi will upgrade the Redmi K80 Pro's 20 MP front-facing camera to a 32 MP sensor. The Poco F7 Ultra is expected to launch on March 27 globally with a €749 (~$818) starting price and the choice between 12 GB RAM/256 GB of storage or 16 GB RAM/512 GB of storage configuration.
