Xiaomi is expected to launch a brand-new mid-range tablet, the Poco Pad M1, in the near future. News outlet Ytechb has obtained early information about the tablet’s specifications and shared what appear to be the first official images of the device.
The Poco Pad M1 will reportedly be available in blue or black and feature a flat frame, a pill-shaped camera module, and a uniform bezel around the display – a fairly conventional design for a tablet. As the successor to the Poco Pad (4G), the device is set to offer relatively powerful specifications, with Xiaomi apparently planning to include an IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a resolution 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
As previously covered, the tablet is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, which features four ARM Cortex-A720 performance cores and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores. According to sources, this chip will be paired with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of flash storage in at least one variant of the Poco Pad M1. The device is also said to include a 12,000 mAh battery that supports 33-watt charging via USB-C. Measuring 7.5 mm (0.30 in) thick and weighing 610 g (1.34 lb), the tablet reportedly comes with one 8 MP f/2.0 main shooter alongside an 8 MP front-facing camera.
For media consumption, the Poco Pad M1 is equipped with quad speakers and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The leaked specifications suggest that the tablet is based on the Redmi Pad 2 Pro (approx. $370 on Amazon). Pricing and availability for the Poco Pad M1 have yet to be announced.
