The Poco Pad M1 recently appeared on Xiaomi's official Product Software support page, with the listing serving as a strong indicator that the product may be launching soon. The tablet marks POCO's inaugural entry into the Pad M-series tablet lineup, with early documentation adding a bit more legitimacy to previous leaks and rumors.
The device is likely a rebadged Redmi Pad 2 Pro since it shares the "P83" internal model number, which can be seen in an FCC certification released last month. The upcoming tablet, interestingly, is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, as opposed to the Redmi Pad 2 Pro's Snapdragon 7s Gen 4.
It's important to take the information with a grain of salt, though, since there has not been any official word from Poco. Based on the Redmi Pad 2 Pro's specs, the Poco Pad M1 is expected to feature a 12.1-inch display with 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be equipped with 6GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
Battery-wise, the tablet is expected to house a substantial 12,000mAh battery while supporting 33W fast charging (wired) and 27W reverse wired charging. The tablet is expected to feature a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support, dual 8MP cameras (front and rear), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The FCC certification reveals model number '2509ARPBDG' for the global variant. The tablet is expected to run Hyper OS 2.0 with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth connectivity. The device is also expected to weigh 890 grams and will reportedly be offered only in Graphite Gray.
