Xiaomi has unveiled numerous devices today across an all-encompassing launch event. In summary, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro were arguably the headline acts. However, the company also introduced the OpenWear Stereo Pro, the Smart Camera C701 and a host of other smart home devices.
One notable absentee was the Pad Mini, which Xiaomi revealed last week would not be attending today's event. Nonetheless, the company has now listed its compact tablet in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where it retails for AED 1,599 (~$435) with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Unfortunately, details of a full international launch remain unknown for the time being.
In the meantime, the company's UAE listing confirms missing details like full display and camera specifications. Ultimately, the Pad Mini is a re-branded Redmi K Pad. Thus, the Pad Mini features a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset like the Xiaomi 15T Pro, as well as the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 before it (curr. $859.99 on Amazon).
Moreover, the Pad Mini has an 8.8-inch and 16:10 IPS display that resolves at 3,008 x 1,880 pixels with a 403 PPI, a 165 Hz refresh rate and 700 nits peak brightness. On top of that, the Pad Mini features 13 MP rear-facing and 8 MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 7,500 mAh battery that supports 67 W charging. Xiaomi's website also indicates that the tablet will start with 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Hence, the Pad Mini may retail for slightly less in other markets than it does in the UAE.
