Following the announcement of new Snapdragon processors, many manufacturers have begun announcing which of their devices will be powered by the new chipsets. Honor has not been left out, as it has not only confirmed the processor for its next-gen flagship tablet, the MagicPad 3 Pro, but has also provided an early look.
The MagicPad 3 Pro will be announced in October alongside the Magic 8 series, and according to Honor, both devices will be powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Expected to launch in October, the MagicPad 3 Pro is being touted as the world's first tablet powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The new processor will bring a boost in performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered MagicPad 3 (read our review). However, since this is a new flagship chipset, the MagicPad 3 Pro is expected to be quite expensive. The confirmation of the processor also includes a reveal of what the tablet looks like.
Based on the image above, the MagicPad 3 Pro will share its design with the MagicPad 3. It will even be available in the same Floating Gold colorway.
The MagicPad 3 Pro will not only look like the non-pro model, but it will also share some of its specs, such as having a 13.3-inch LCD panel, a high refresh rate, and dual rear cameras. It should also pack a pretty large battery to go with its humongous screen.
When the MagicPad 3 Pro launches, it will be going against several rivals, including Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 (available on Amazon for $799), which has an 11-inch AMOLED display and is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ processor.
