Over the summer, OnePlus introduced the Pad Lite globally. Bolstering its tablet division as a cheaper alternative to the Pad 2 and Pad 3 (curr. $629 on Amazon), the Pad Lite combines MediaTek's mid-range Helio G100 chipset with an 11-inch and 90 Hz display, among other hardware that we discovered in our subsequent review.
Now it seems that OnePlus is preparing to unveil another MediaTek-backed tablet, albeit one that is significantly more powerful than the OnePlus Pad Lite. For the time being, OnePlus is being extremely secretive about the identity of the device. In fact, the company has not even published a teaser page yet, unlike the OnePlus 15R and a forthcoming 'OnePlus New Watch'.
Instead, OnePlus mentions a 'OnePlus New Tablet' across the campaign terms of its OnePlus 15R promotional campaign. As the screenshot below shows, OnePlus will reveal the name of this mysterious tablet later this month. Moreover, the same terms indicate that OnePlus will then go on to release the same tablet on or around December 17 before its early bird campaign ends on January 31, 2026.
While OnePlus is keeping its cards close to its chest, a recent release in China may have already revealed the company's plans ahead of time. Specifically, the OnePlus Tablet 2 debuted less than three weeks ago in China with a 144 Hz display and a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, among other hardware. Thus, we would not be surprised if the 'OnePlus New Tablet' is a re-branded OnePlus Tablet 2 for global audiences, just like the OnePlus Pad 3 was before it.
