Verdict on the OnePlus Pad Lite
The OnePlus Pad Lite looks familiar to us, as we already reviewed its sister model, the Oppo Pad SE, a few weeks ago.
Like the Oppo, our test device today has some great features: First of all, there is the large battery, which enables runtimes of over 23 hours in our WLAN test and should therefore last two or three days in everyday use.
The screen is bright at around 500 nits and does not have PWM flickering. The chassis is made of metal and has a very high-quality finish. For a small surcharge, there is even an optional LTE model with which you can make calls and use mobile internet.
The manufacturer also promises 6 years of updates.
We are less pleased with the cameras, which have a very low resolution even for a tablet. There is also no fingerprint sensor for biometric unlocking of the tablet.
Nevertheless, we like the OnePlus Pad Lite. It is a high-quality alternative for tablets in the 200 euro price range.
Pros
Cons
Price and availability
The OnePlus Pad Lite costs around 200 euros, for example at amazon.de.
The version with LTE costs 30 euros extra.

Specifications
Case and features - stylish metal chassis
With the Pad Lite, OnePlus is launching a relatively inexpensive tablet on the market. Nevertheless, it has a metal chassis and a very high-quality and sturdy finish. The screen is bordered by a 6 millimeter thick edge, which gives it a modern look and still reliably prevents accidental touches on the touchscreen.
However, at 530 grams, the OnePlus Pad Lite is noticeably heavier than comparable tablets.
128 GB of mass storage is installed and there is a choice of 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Our test device comes with the smaller RAM configuration, which still meets the class standard.
Unfortunately, there is only one USB 2.0 port, so wired image output is not possible.
Communication and operation - optionally with LTE and positioning
The data rates during transmission via WiFi 5 can fluctuate at times. Overall, the Wi-Fi speed is rather moderate and does not exceed 350 MBit/s.
There is also an optional LTE version, which also includes a positioning module.
The touchscreen can be operated very reliably and the 90 Hz screen responds very promptly to our inputs. Unfortunately, there is no fingerprint sensor, but you can use facial recognition via the front camera for biometric recognition. This did not always work completely reliably in our test.

Software and sustainability - with update guarantee
ColorOS is the operating system of the OnePlus Pad Lite and is based on Android 15.
The security patches date from August 2025 and are therefore somewhat older at the time of testing. However, according to the manufacturer, the tablet will receive updates until 2031, which would be six years from launch. How many new operating system versions there will be is not explicitly stated. However, OnePlus usually releases four new OS versions for its devices.
There is not much information available on the sustainability of the device. However, the manufacturer does not use plastic in the packaging.
Cameras - At most functional
The main camera of the OnePlus Pad Lite only has a 5-megapixel sensor, which is quite low even for a tablet.
As a result, the resulting images are rather coarse and lack detail.
Videos can be recorded at up to 1080p and 30 fps, but the autofocus is very slow and the level of detail in the resulting videos is quite low.
The front camera also has 5 megapixels and takes passable photos. However, the main purpose here is probably video calls, for which the camera is more or less suitable.

Display - OnePlus with bright IPS screen
The IPS screen of the OnePlus Pad Lite has a slightly wider Full HD resolution and measures 11 inches. Some tablets, such as the Lenovo Idea Tab, offer an even higher resolution, but overall the pixel density of 206 PPI is okay and the display looks reasonably fine.
At around 520 cd/m² at maximum, the brightness of the screen is at a good level for the class, but the Pad Lite is still more suitable for indoor use.
We see a minimal blue cast in the display, but overall it can be adjusted quite well.
Fortunately, we did not notice any PWM flickering, so the tablet should also be easy to use for sensitive users.

Performance, emissions and battery life - Sufficiently fast
With the MediaTek Helio G100 SoC, the tablet is adequately equipped for its price range, but there are now comparable tablets with even more power. In everyday use, you can usually navigate through the menus smoothly, but loading times can be a little longer from time to time.
The heat build-up on the casing is low and we did not see any throttling of the SoC after prolonged load in the 3DMark stress test.
OnePlus equips the tablet with four speakers, which produce a really good sound overall for the price range. The speakers would benefit from a little more precision in the treble range, but overall you can enjoy pop music and movie sound. External audio devices can also be connected via USB or Bluetooth, and the most common wireless audio codecs are also available.
The large battery that OnePlus installs is great. It brings 9,340 mAh and endures almost twice as long as some of its competitors: We measured just over 23 hours in our practical WiFi test, which should be enough for two days of intensive use without charging.
A charger is not included, but the tablet works with all of our existing chargers without any problems and achieves a charging capacity of up to 33 watts.
