Following the releases of tablets like the Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen), Redmi K Pad, and RedMagic Astra, iQOO was widely reported to be working on a similar compact flagship tablet that would launch this year. Those plans appear to have hit something of a stumbling block, however.
As revealed by Digital Chat Station, it seems iQOO's iPad Mini-rivalling compact tablet has been delayed. The tablet, widely reported to feature an 8.3-inch display, was initially rumored to be scheduled to launch in the second half of the year but will now "definitely not" be released this year.
Unfortunately, the leaker provides no further information as to why the iQOO tablet has been postponed. It's also unclear if a delay to 2026 will see it launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 instead of a Snapdragon 8 Elite as initially planned. Either way, lovers of compact tablets may be better served opting for any of the recently released options from Lenovo, Xiaomi, or RedMagic instead.
