Following the releases of compact premium tablets like the Redmi K Pad and RedMagic Astra, Vivo's sub-brand iQOO was rumored to have a similar offering in the works. According to a new report, however, the development of that device isn't going quite right.
As shared by Digital Chat Station, iQOO has now temporarily halted development of its much-rumored compact tablet, with the project said to be "on hold". It's not particularly surprising information either. Early reports of the iQOO tablet touted a release in the second half of 2025, before further leaks indicated its launch had been delayed till 2026. The tablet could still debut next year, but there's now a chance it gets scrapped altogether.
In addition to the tablet, iQOO is working on a compact flagship phone positioned against the upcoming OnePlus 15T. This phone is currently said to be scheduled to debut in the first half of 2026, and could launch with a Dimensity 9500 series chipset instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 as originally planned.
