As previously reported, Honor is working on a compact tablet. This tablet is set to rival offerings like the Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen), RedMagic Astra, and Xiaomi's Redmi K Pad—and new leaks have now revealed more info on it.
According to WhyLab, Honor's take on the compact premium tablet is in the works. This new tablet was first revealed by leaker Digital Chat Station and is rumored to sport a 7.9-inch display, effectively ensuring it's the smallest of all its peers.
It's currently unclear as to what display type the tablet will feature but seeing as the Honor Magic Pad3 sports an LCD, it would be surprising if the compact tablet opts for an OLED. More interesting, however, are reports of 5G connectivity support. Aforementioned rivals from Lenovo, Xiaomi, and RedMagic all lack SIM support but it seems Honor's compact tablet could offer that, potentially making it the only tablet in that segment with that feature. Outside of Apple's iPad Mini, of course.
Lastly, Honor's compact tablet appears billed to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite. Unfortunately, this tablet may not debut till next year, at which point the Qualcomm chipset would already be a last-gen SOC.
