Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new mid-range phone, the Redmi Note 14 SE. It will launch in India on July 28, 2025, and per the latest announcement, the device will come with "killer specs" for the money. The company highlights that it will come with the "smoothest" and "brightest" display compared to other phones in the same price segment.
More specifically, this display is said to have a peak brightness rating of 2,100 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The announcement also reveals that the new affordable Redmi phone will use Gorilla Glass 5 as protection and have an in-display fingerprint sensor, suggesting that the phone will sport an AMOLED screen.
Another aspect that Xiaomi is boasting about the phone is the speaker setup. The Redmi Note 14 SE will sport a dual-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, and it's said to offer a "killer sound" that can beat the audio setup of other phones in the segment.
The phone's camera setup has been somewhat revealed as well. As Xiaomi shares, the Redmi Note 14 SE will have a triple-camera setup on the back, with the primary sensor being the Sony LYT-600 with OIS. The company hasn't revealed anything about the other back cameras yet.
Under the hood, the Redmi 14 SE is confirmed to pack the Dimensity 7025 Ultra, a mid-range SoC from last year. It will be paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be expanded with 8 GB of virtual RAM. Storage-wise, the upcoming mid-range phone is set to have up to 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Among the other highlights is the relatively large 5,100 mAh battery, but Xiaomi hasn't revealed the charging speed of the Redmi Note 14 SE (130 W Ugreen Nexode 20K power bank curr. $54.14 on Amazon). The company has also yet to reveal the price, but the good part is that the launch is pretty much on the horizon.
