Xiaomi has been selling the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro (curr. $617 on Amazon) since September 2024. Based on recent information, the company is preparing direct successors that it intends to release later this year under the Xiaomi 15T series. While recent leaks have mentioned the model number 2506BPN68G, neither the FCC nor the IMDA have named the device concerned directly.
Conversely, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has done exactly that in a recent listing. Embedded below, the NBTC specifies that 2506BPN68G is the model number behind the Xiaomi 15T Pro, just as it did in May with the Poco F7. Consequently, it seems likely that the Xiaomi 15T Pro will line up with 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB of storage later this year but only 12 GB of RAM, unlike its direct predecessor.
Meanwhile, listings bearing the model number 2506BPN68G have also appeared on Geekbench. As a result, various outlets have reported that the Xiaomi 15T Pro has now been spotted on the popular benchmarking platform. However, a few clues exist that these listings actually relate to the older Redmi K50. For example, the chipset referenced looks to be the Dimensity 8100 rather than the Dimensity 9400+ that is expected to grace the Xiaomi 15T Pro. Moreover, the motherboard mentioned, rubens, is the codename for the Redmi K50. In short, we suspect that these lacklustre scores are a red herring at this stage, which is why we have chosen against embedding screenshots of the results below.
