The Xiaomi 15T series is widely expected to launch in September. The phones have been tipped to arrive with significantly improved audio hardware adopted from the Redmi K80 Ultra, but it seems the pricier Xiaomi 15T Pro could be in line for a big camera upgrade as well.
As shared by leaker Paperking13, the Xiaomi looks set to get a much-improved telephoto camera. A leaked image, seemingly of Mi code, appears to show the phone listed with four zoom steps in the camera app—0.6x, 1x, 2x, and 5x. It strongly indicates that the Xiaomi 15T Pro could be capable of 5x lossless zoom, along with a maximum 100x digital zoom range.
This would represent a notable improvement on the 3x telephoto lens on last year's Xiaomi 14T Pro, and also effectively guarantees the presence of a periscope lens for the first time in the series. Xiaomi has typically kept that feature exclusive to its most premium "Ultra" models, but that changed with the Xiaomi 15 Pro and now looks set to continue with the Xiaomi 15T Pro.
