The device that Xiaomi is expected to launch as the Xiaomi 15T Pro has now appeared on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US, bearing the same 2506BPN68G model number as its recent IMDA appearance. As always, the FCC's initial documentation provides a few details about the device ahead of time.
For instance, the regulatory body provides early insights into the memory combinations in which the Xiaomi 15T Pro will be available. Like its predecessor, the FCC indicates that the Xiaomi 15T Pro will start with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Also, the device will come with 512 GB and 1 TB options for those who need more storage particularly given the lack of microSD card expansion. Surprisingly, it seems that Xiaomi will do away with the 16 GB of RAM option in which the Xiaomi 14T Pro is available (curr. $617 on Amazon).
Odder still the Redmi K80 Ultra, upon which the Xiaomi 15T Pro is based, can be configured with 16 GB of RAM alongside 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB of storage. At this stage, Xiaomi is expected to equip the Xiaomi 15T Pro with the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset as the Redmi K80 Ultra but with a 25% smaller battery capacity, totalling 5,500 mAh. For the time being, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is anticipated to arrive in September with a cheaper Xiaomi 15T in tow.
