OnePlus launches 2-in-1 cable with up to 80 W fast charging support

OnePlus has introduced a new charging cable, called the 2-in-1 SuperVOOC Cable. The unique aspect of it is that it can charge a smartwatch and a phone at the same time, which can eventually help to lower the cable clutter.

There's support for 80 W fast charging, but when connected to a OnePlus Watch and a smartphone at the same time, the smartwatch will receive up to 10 W while the phone will get up to 67 W of power. As for compatibility, the 2-in-1 cable features a built-in magnetic POGO Pin connector that's designed for the company's smartwatches, including the Watch 2, Watch 2R (curr. $171.86 on Amazon), and Watch 3.

The company notes that the cable is equipped with an E-marker smart chip, which offers protection to the connected devices. It's also said to have a pure copper core, ensuring faster yet safer charging.

Another highlight of the 2-in-1 cable is that it's 1.2 meters long, making it a good pick as travel gear. However, it's worth noting that the cable has a USB-A on the other end, which would require a power brick with a Type-A port.

Regarding the price, the OnePlus 2-in-1 cable costs $29.99, which is the same price as the spare Watch Charging Base that the company sells. It's now available to purchase on the official online store.
